About

Victoria Kelly, a lifelong mover, is passionate about all things teaching. With decades of dance injury experience she’s got your back when it comes to putting a better foot forward in your fitness program, whatever that program looks like. She is currently working with a large number of rehab, post-rehab and special population students applying extra guidance and an expert eye. That includes baby boomers!

“Kelly” entered the Teacher Training Program at Turning Point Studios in 2004 under the tutelage of Nora St. John and Naomi Lieserson (now Balanced Body University). In 2006 she opened the first Core Cat Studio in Jingletown. Kelly has since studied the Polestar Pilates curriculum at ProBalance in Alameda, under Ada Wells, Debra Marcus, and Deidre Mann.

“Mindfulness and meditation are core values for me,” Kelly says. “Moving mindfully and making friends with the nervous system are keys to a happier experience of being in the body.”

Prior to working in the Pilates industry Kelly studied dance in New York at the Erick Hawkins studio and performed with various companies. She also acted and performed at the Gene Frankel Theatre and wrote and produced plays in and around New York. A writer of short stories and plays, she has been published in Moxie Magazine and the Abiko Quarterly. She has also been a book reviewer, working with the Northern California Book Reviewer’s Association and has published with the San Francisco Chronicle.
